Your enquiry
When you contact me through this website, I use the details you provide to read and respond to your enquiry. The form asks for your name, email address and message. You can also choose to include your telephone number, the photography you are interested in, a preferred date and a location.
How your details are handled
Enquiries are sent to my email inbox. The website does not keep a separate database of enquiry messages. I do not use your enquiry to subscribe you to marketing emails.
Website features
This website does not include advertising trackers or analytics. The contact form uses temporary spam-prevention records containing an attempt count linked to a hashed network address; these expire after 15 minutes. A simple maths question is also checked by this website to help prevent spam. This check does not add cookies or send your information to an external verification service.
Embedded maps
My About page includes an optional OpenStreetMap map showing Liverpool. The map stays off until you select Load interactive map; no map content is requested from OpenStreetMap before that choice. It does not ask for or use your device’s location.
The map controls are served by this website. Loading the map requests map images from services operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. These services receive your IP address, browser information, this website’s address without the page path, and details of the map images requested. Map images may be served through a global network of servers. Their use of this information, cookies and similar technologies is explained in the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
Your map choice applies only to the current page and is not saved. It is separate from Accept in the cookie banner. Select Remove map to stop displaying the map and prevent further requests from the embedded map. This cannot remove information already received by the provider. Following the separate OpenStreetMap link opens their website, where their privacy policy applies.
Cookies and your preferences
I use browser storage to remember your privacy choice and, only if you allow it, your website preferences. Optional preferences are off until you choose Accept. You can choose Decline and still browse the photographs and contact me.
The website starts in light mode. If you allow preferences, it can remember your light or dark selection between visits and use a session-only setting to avoid repeating the enquiry invitation. Without permission, the light/dark toggle still works for the page you are viewing, but the choice is not saved and new pages start in light mode. The enquiry invitation is not shown while optional preferences are off.
Your privacy decision is remembered for 180 days from the time you make it. Browsing the website does not extend that period. After it expires, optional preferences are turned off and you are asked again when you next use the website. These settings stay in this browser on this device; they are not sent to me, shared with third parties or used to track you.

Change your choice
Open Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Choosing Decline withdraws permission, clears the saved light/dark and enquiry-invitation settings and stops further optional storage. You can allow preferences again there too. Clearing this website’s saved data in your browser also removes the stored settings. If your browser blocks storage, your choice can only apply to the page you are viewing and you may be asked again on the next page.
If you sign in to WordPress to administer this website, WordPress also uses cookies for sign-in and security. These are separate from the optional portfolio preferences described above.

Links to Instagram, WhatsApp and PurplePort take you to services with their own privacy policies. Photography on this site is hosted with the website.
